Last blog feature, we talked about one of the most famous Legendary Neutral Unit: Doctor Blight. For this blog, we are going to talk about the darkness of Death Unit. Base on the starter cards existing on the Death Unit, this Unit specializes the reduction of stats. When you are battling with this unit, expect that your attack or health will be decreased. That is a great tactic and it will be greater if you match it up with the monster with exceptional ability. A monster that can reduce the health of its opponent by letting them attack it. The CURSED WINDEKU. This monster is a Rare Death Monster. But before we go deeper about the discussion of this monster, let us first understand where this monster comes from.
So without further ado, let us read THE LORE !
📰 THE LORE 📰
Cursed Windeku are nightmarish creatures that live in the deepest and darkest woods. They hunt at night, stalking their prey before attacking with their claws, while their thorn-like horns and natural healing ability provide an excellent defense,. They exude a pungent pheromone that reduces the reaction time of their victims, often allowing the Windeku to begin devouring them before they are dead. While these lifeless creatures may appear animalistic, they are highly intelligent. They have heeded the call put forth by the Lord of Darkness. Their thirst for blood is now focused on the Chaos Legion.
“I heard it again... that rustle of brush in the darkness of the forest. No mistaking it now. Something was stalking us.
I picked up my pace and urged Grewa to do the same. We hurried through the trees toward the inn. I could hear her panting behind me. Something howled then, but not like a wolf. Like a man who has gone mad with hunger.
I lost it. I ran. Ran as fast as my legs could carry me. And when I stumbled and fell and got up again, I realized I was alone. No sound of Grewa. No footfalls or heavy breath.
I rose to my feet and walked slowly back the way we'd come. I heard a sound. A wet, tearing sound. And in the middle of trees, not twenty yards away, I saw Grewa. And I saw it.
The beast was gaunt, its skin pulled tight over its bones. It was the ash-gray color of death, with sunken eyes, like a corpse recently risen from the grave, and twisted horns. And the smell. Oh, gods, the smell.
Its lips were tattered and bloody. It was Grewa's blood. It had torn her open and was feasting on her guts. And she... she was still moving. She let out a little whimper.
And I turned and I ran until I saw your light burning in the distance, and I kept running until I burst through the door.”
The man downed the rest of his tankard of ale and stared into the empty mug. The other patrons of the inn shifted in their seats.
“He's making it up,” one said.
“He's drunk,” said another.
The room burst into laughter. Conversations resumed. The man continued staring into his ale.
From somewhere in the dark of night outside rose a mad and hungry howl.
⚔️ THE POWER OF CURSED WINDEKU ⚔️
CURSED WINDEKU is a Rare Death Monster with Thorns ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can reduce the life of its attacker by 2, if ever the attack made hits this monster. This ability is can only be activated if a melee attacker did it. This monster has also 2 melee attacks, 3 speed, and 9 lives. By looking at its stats we can say this card is one of the most reliable tank in the Death Unit. It can be classified as tank in the game due to its high life. It can definitely survive many attacks made by the opponent. In terms of its speed, it is also, somehow, impressive on that area. It has three speed which means it has an average chance of evading attacks. But due to its ability, we do not wish this monster to evade attacks. We want this monster to be hit by melee attacks. Aside form its speed, another average characteristic of this monster is its attack. It has 2 melee attacks which is good on creating damages towards the tank of the opponent. It will be difficult only for this card to make damage if its target monster has Shield ability. Monster with shield ability can reduce to half the damage of its attacker.
If ever you are planning to use this monster, I highly suggest to use the summoner DRAKE OF ARNAK and/or **DISINTEGRATOR as the back position monster.

DRAKE OF ARNAK. This summoner can increase the shieild of all friendly monster by 1. That is a very powerful advantage because even though it is 1 shield, it can still resist powerful melee and range damages. That is the reason why you should use this summoner alongside with Cursed Windeku because you can definitely use Thorns ability without letting this monster reduce its life. I believe there are also other summoner or monster that can give shield or increase life of other monster and I also highly suggest to use those monster alongside with this monsters.
DISINTERGRATOR. I suggest to use this monster alongside with Cursed Windeku because this monster can reduce the melee attacks of its opponent. Even though we want Cursed Windeku to get hit by melee attack in order to activate its ability, still, we want it also to stay longer in field so that we can maximize its full potential. Reducing the melee attacks of your opponent while making damage back to them is pretty good strategy for a battle.
As Cursed Windeku continue to level up, it gains new ability.
At level 5, this monster gains Heal ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can restore a portion of monster's health. That is a great advantage in the game because it can surely last longer in the battle. At this level, this monster obtain an increase to its melee attack and life. In order to achieve this level, a combination of 40 cards must be done.
At level 8, this monster gains new ability once again called Slow. Monsters with this kind of ability can reduce the speed of opponent's monsters. That is a pretty great strategy because we want to make sure that the attack of Cursed Windeku will not miss. At this level, this monster has 4 melee attacks, 3 speed, and 11 lives. We can say that at this point, this monster is at its most powerful form. A combination of 115 cards must be done to achieve this level.
WHEN TO USE THIS MONSTER?. This monster is perfect to use against Water Unit especially, against the Serpent of Eld. The speed of Serpent of Eld is a big problem when battling. So the best strategy to defeat it is to let it make its attack and let Thorns ability ends its life.
HOW TO DEFEAT THIS MONSTER. In order to defeat this monster, your best chance is to use magic attackers or range attackers. These two kind of attackers are not affected by thorns ability and it will make the ability of Cursed Windeku into waste.
💸 THE MARKET STATUS OF CURSED WINDEKU 💸
As of the moment this monster has a market price of $0.58 to $0.60.
So the question is, does this card deserve its current market price? I think that due to its ability and starting stats, it market value should be raise more. It is a powerful card. But due to sellers who want to increase their income, the market price of this monster is not suitable to its ability and stats. It is a little bit unfair because there are Legendary Cards that is less powerful compared to this monster yet, they have higher price. But as a buyer, this low market price is also a good thing because it gives us an opportunity to afford this monster. So if you ae planning to buy this monster, rush and but it quickly because it can definitely help you on your game and who knows, maybe this card will suddenly make its peak in terms of market prices. That would be a big profit for you! So go now and buy it.
