We had to let him go way before his time. Eversince he died our other sweet Gordon setter Joey has been alone and was still sleeping in the same dog bed they had together. The last two weeks he was digging in the bed with his paws and restless at night. Someone suggested to give home a new place to sleep now that he is adjusted to being the solo dog of our family home. ![IMG_1932.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/brittandjosie/23wgPuugKxd6673ngc7Dp3Hnz7XTnMMiLzotV2QeyRBaTtpZnD2W9BfeyzHThejztbGqM.jpeg) I have to admit I found it hard to let go and remove the last thing out of the hallway that reminded of him but in this case, when it’s better for Joe I will. I found a brown one in market place for 17 euro. When I arrived they had two and I choose the one with arched under side. The picture is from a straight under side. Both were same price. So I choose and paid. I picked it up last week and bought paint , plastic and brushes. And I did! So I started and painted the reed with two layers and that wasn’t that much work. I did it while watching tv and after three days with drying the bed was finished. It looks new and crisp. Very cosy and thick. Its fresh and I like that the view doesn’t remind us so much of Charlie anymore.
