This is one of my close friends in Byron Bay we call him Evil Knievel but is known as "Big Ben" he has a heart of gold and a heart with no fear he performs the most maddest dare devil stunts on his skateboard that would make you hair stand up tall he makes it look so easy but it's so dangerous you need precision , timing and balance to perform these dare devil stunts he is just amazing to watch.
Why has skateboarding become so popular well for the main reason it allows you to be who you want to be to push your limits so you can grow better at it and it's all done on a short board mounted on small wheels and on this short board you can perform all your athletic stunts at the best of your abilities without destroying yourself of course.
Skateboarding actually began in California in the 1950's and the idea came these surfers that found themselves bored when the waves were flat and you could not ride them so they came up with this idea of attaching these roller skate wheels on a short board which then they called sidewalk surfing this skateboard sidewalk surfing became that popular , that by 1963 over 50 million skateboards had been built and sold and thus became a very active sport even till today.
In this little story of the "Fearless Fliers on Skateboards" it's about a Father and Son both having the same interest of been daredevils on skateboards the Father known as "Big Ben" took skateboarding up at a young age and his son now likewise been inspired by his father subsequently fell in love with the adventure and social aspect of skateboarding and is now following suite he is known as "Little Ben".
Father and Son spend a lot of quality time training together they even have this huge trampoline in there backyard snugged up against the house wall and here Big Ben and Little Ben will practice there moves jumping high with or without there skateboards bouncing of the house brick wall tuning up there moves and balances a very physical demanding sport with lots of fun achievements to show of on the skateboard playgrounds when competing with others.
Little Ben has grow really passionate to skateboarding he is out there almost every day and night practicing his every move till he prefix's that particular maneuver and this is the surprise look on his face when he has prefix's that maneuver. I asked him how does skateboarding make you feel he said i feel freer, happier and excited about the world when i am out there skateboarding and that certainly shows by his expressions.
I asked Big Ben and Little Ben how do you both feel skateboarding together they said it gives them the freedom to find there common ground and most importantly it has taught them to work together rather than against each other, as they have the same common passion how cool a relationship is that between a father and son.
