Bei meinem letzten Beitrag berichtete ich euch vom Sisi Klettersteig am Loser im wunderschönen Ausseeerland. Doch diese malerische Region im Herzen Österreichs hat noch weit mehr zu bieten. Gleich auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite vom Altausseer See liegt die 1.754 Meter hohe Trisselwand.

In my last post I told you about the Sisi via ferrata at Loser in the beautiful Ausseeerland. But this picturesque region in the heart of Austria has much more to offer. Just on the opposite side of Altausseer See lies the 1,754 meter high Trisselwand.
Nachdem ich am Vortag den anstrengenden Klettersteig absolviert hatte, wanderte ich am Tag darauf auf die markante und zugleich wunderschöne Trisselwand. Der Berg liegt direkt am Altausseer See und fällt durch die senkrecht abfallende und mehrere hundert Meter hohe Felswand sofort ins Auge. Diese Kulisse war Drehort von James Bond „Spectre“ als der Geheimagent Bond den versteckten Mr. White am Ende des Sees aufsuchte um an essenzielle Informationen zu gelangen.
After completing the strenuous via ferrata the day before, I hiked the following day to the striking and at the same time beautiful Trisselwand. The mountain is located directly on Lake Altaussee and immediately catches the eye with its vertically sloping and several hundred meter high rock face. This backdrop was the filming location of James Bond "Spectre " when the secret agent Bond visited the hidden Mr. White at the end of the lake to get essential information.
Die Wanderung führt allerdings nicht direkt die steile Felswand nach oben, sondern vom Grundlsee aus über die Rücken des Bergmassives. Nach 2 Stunden gut 800 Höhenmetern erreicht man das traumhafte Plateu samt Gipfelkreuz auf der Trisselwand. Das Panorma ist wie aus einem Bilderbuch. In der malerischen Landschaft lassen sich der Dachsteingletscher, der Schafberg, der Loser und einige umliegenden wunderschöne Seen erblicken.
However, the hike does not lead directly up the steep rock face, but from Grundlsee over the ridges of the mountain massif. After 2 hours, a good 800 meters in altitude, you reach the fantastic plateu including the summit cross on the Trisselwand. The panorama is like something out of a picture book. In the picturesque landscape you can see the Dachstein glacier, the Schafberg, the Loser and some surrounding beautiful lakes.
Nach der sportlichen Aktivität gings zum Gundlsee, wo ich einen Sprung ins erfrischende Nass kaum erwarten konnte. Ich fand am Uferrand eine kleine Steinpyramide, die irgenwie etwas besonderes an sich hatte. Dieses kleine Pyramide musste ich natürlich auch noch auf einem Foto festhalten. Ich hoffe euch hat meine Tour auf die Trisselwand gefallen. In meinem nächsten Beitrag berichte ich euch von meiner Besteigung auf den höchsten Berg Österreichs den Großglockner.
After the sporty activity we went to Gundlsee, where I could hardly wait to jump into the refreshing water. I found a small stone pyramid on the edge of the shore, which somehow had something special about it. This small pyramid I had to hold of course also still on a photo. I hope you enjoyed my tour on the Trisselwand. In my next post I'll tell you about my climb to the highest mountain in Austria the Großglockner.
