Salmon Legend - Reprisal

I had finished my photoshoot at Spokane Falls and was headed back up the hill when I saw this picture asking to be taken.
This sculpture is depicting the story of Coyote making the salmon stop at Spokane Falls.

In another (story), a Coeur d’Alene woman rejected the romantic interest of Coyote. Unable to get help from the Spokane or the Kalispel in seducing or kidnapping the woman, the trickster used magic to build a barrier between the salmon and the Coeur d’Alene people.
