feeding time

It is quite the scene to behold when you are in one of the most wild and remote regions on the planet. It less than 100 years ago that we decided to stop whaling these waters. All due to the fact that the profits were not worth the cost of the operation. That and fossil fuels, which is bizarre thing to consider when you look at the environmental impact fossil fuels have on our world today.

These days the region is full of feeding animals surrounded by an icy and rugged landscape. These 2 humpbacks were in a group feeding behaviour, working together to calmly and slowly consume as much krill as possible. would love to be there now
