Trellis the Cosmos

clicks and pauses
code and inference
from earth to sky

pattern
shepherds chaos
into meaning

foundation and base
erect geometric mirrors
among the cirrus

so we can see ourselves

upon high
acrimony is muted
fear is rejected
tossed down, buried deep
to serve as naught
but fallen compost

detritus and worn ideas

expansion
growing together
grants meaning
to an otherwise
meaningless
babble

bound to each other
through understanding
consensus and compromise
the HIVE finds the WAY

all sides and perspectives
maintained and evolving
sustained and supported

build the pillars
arches and steppes

trellis the garden
throughout the cosmos

there will be nothing until we get there

When the state turns on itself and goes to war with its very self what are those with the insight to recognize it do? I don't know. Feels like I have been screaming into the void. A place pretty near void of love. Those who speak the same language .... so to speak, hear you. The problem is all this partisanship is creating a figurative Tower of Babylon. We just don't seem to be able to understand each other, and although we require all sides for the tower to stand, to continue building, we allow acrimony and fear to reign and incrementally tear the whole thing down. That is how a poem/parable is born and a civilization destroyed.

That is what Matthew meant with his incoherent tongue. I have always liked him too. One of my faves, really.

Biden with his unconstitutional and unscientific mandates, all the politicians in my own country following suit, and the subsequent and incremental collapse of society and our social safety nets,; they are indeed deconstructing and separating us.

If we want to maintain what we have built, it will be the populace who will have to say no to the scapegoating and fear and choose to fall in literal love with each other. That begins with acceptance of differences and then understanding and then solutions found through consensus and compromise ... love.

Trellised Together

a good trade
beaded roses
for vêtements
& defences
all vestments are shed

I wear your coat
… you claim

on its return
I say …
I will be naked

but not cold
… you promise

step in
there is room
for us both

you offer fragrance
I offer tender truth
we gift one another
with warmth
and comfort
complementary coupling

entwine

a luminescent vine
I have ceded my thorns
that I might cling and grow
among your sylvan scaffold
add light to your industry

love in symbiosis

trellised together
we reach beyond the sky
inhabit the heavens
harness the sun
seed the cosmos
expand and grow
as one
