El pasado 21 de diciembre fue el solsticio del último mes del año, fecha que marca el inicio del verano en el hemisferio sur, donde me encuentro (y el comienzo del invierno en el hemisferio norte). Los solsticios y equinoccios son fechas muy importantes para la humanidad, ya que están ligadas a las épocas de siembra y cosecha.
The past December 21 was the day of the summer solstice in the Southern Hemisphere, where I am (and the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere), it means the day when the corresponding season starts.
Along the human history the solstices and equinoxes have been very important dates for humanity, since they are related with the sowing and harvesting times.
Me gusta tomar fotografías de estos "días especiales" y dejando así registro de ellos.
En el presente post muestro unas cuatro fotografías que tomé este día en la costa de Antofagasta, al momento de la puesta del sol. La tarde estuvo bastante nublada, sin embargo el cielo se despejó parcialmente al atardecer y mostró el sol.
I like to take photos during these "special days" in order to record them.
In this post I show four photographs that I took the last December 21st at the coast of Antofagasta during the sunset. The afternoon was very cloudy, luckily before the sunset some clouds dispersed and the sun showed its beautiful yellow rays.
En estas fotos se observan la siluetas de los dos cerros más importantes de la zona. El Cerro Coloso en la segunda foto y el Cerro Moreno en la tercera.
In these photos can be seen the silhouettes of the two most important mountains of the zone. The Cerro Coloso on the second photo and Cerro Moreno on the third.
Como pueden observar había una gran cantidad de aves marinas, en particular de gaviotas, alimentándose en las piedras de la costa que estaban descubiertas por la marea baja.
As you can see there were plenty sea birds on the rocky shores, feeding on the uncovered rocks at the low tide.
Las fotos son de mi autoría y las tomé con la cámara de un Samsung Galaxy S20, y posteriormente procesadas con Gimp.
