OLD SLATE MINE

Here are a few more pictures I took on a visit to the Snowdonia National Park .
In a previous post ( castle or prison) we then walked only a short distance and came across this old slate mine

The water you can see I was told is over 300 meters deep and is now used by divers to practice

In this next picture is some kind of device they must off used to remove the slate all them years ago
