MG L-Type Special 1933 at Vernasca Silver Flag

This is one of the pro photos of my run at Vernasca Silver flag. It was an amazing event. For me it was something like 1/3 racing, 1/3 historic and 1/3 social.

This car has originally been built and sold as a limousine. Later it has been “upgraded” into a race car by adding a super-charger (Compressor) sitting in front of the car and changing the car body. Hence it is called “special” as opposed to those cars that were built as race cars right from the start.

The engine produces more than 100 hp for a total eight of the car below 700 kg. It is totally amazing what tech was around in 1933.
