Georgia Guidestones

Top of the morning to ye.

It's crazy early and I can't get back to sleep so I thought I'd share some pics I took on my adventure yesterday. I went to the Georgia Guidestones. If you've never heard of this place, check out some more info
here. I had heard of it but never actually thought I'd get a chance to go. So I made time and drive Hella far. It was eerily quite but incredibly peaceful.

The Guidestones have 10 guides written in 8 different languages to rebuild society after the apocalypse supposedly. They are as follows:

Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.

Unite humanity with a living new language.

Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.

Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.

Avoid petty laws and useless officials.

Balance personal rights with social duties.

Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.

Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

Now I don't know how much of this I believe or what any of it actually means... But what I do know is this. This place is very strange. It's in the middle of fucking nowhere. It's also one of the most peaceful places I've ever been. When standing under the stones, I felt a calm I've never felt in my life.

There's a tablet that "explains" the Guidestones and references a time capsule buried underneath. I wonder what could be buried there.

Pretty fucking cool day trip. I spent about 2 hours there just meditating and enjoying the eerie silence. Definitely a sight to see.

Hope you enjoyed my pics.

Later.
