The old and infinite Castilla: a beautiful girl in history, but at the same time, nurse of tradition, legend and the supernatural.

Such would be the case, for example, of the old medieval town of Turégano, where History and its rugged cruelty close ties with the unusual and terrifying.

Real and cruel are the stories that were woven around the shadowy walls of its church-fortress, in whose overwhelming darkness the mitred Segovians officiated mass a few meters from the mousetraps that served as cells for the unfortunate who fell from grace, such as Antonio Pérez, the clerk of the most Catholic of kings: Felipe II.

But also the peaceful pastures, witnesses of the passage of travelers and pilgrims throughout the centuries, were the scene of bloody supernatural events, where a terrible bloodthirsty creature, called the Madre del Caño (Spout’s Mother), was the true nightmare with which grandparents scared mischievous children in the warm solitudes of home, when the cold and snow ravaged the outside.
