Week 1 Photo Challenge by @arbitrarykitten! Theme: Home is Where the Heart is.
My heart lies in the mountains. The mountains bring me back to my center and help me feel grounded. I can always count on a good hike to bring my spirits up. It's even better when family or friends join.
This is a hike we took a few years ago. We hiked up to I think 9000 feet to see this lake sitting at the top of the mountain. It was during the summer but when we reached the top we actually found snow! The kids had a blast and I had a lot of fun watching them take it all in. My kids are Texans so this was the first time they had seen anything like this.
