The Phase One XF is the most high-end camera system you can buy. The Art of Photography recently had a chance to use this setup with the IQ3 monochrome back.
This camera is certainly out of the price range for all but the most serious photographers into high end art, scientific research and commercial work. Nonetheless the technology the XF introduces is extremely exciting and will hopefully quickly filter down to consumer level products.
The dynamic range and lack of noise this type of camera offers is truly spectacular. This is is a paradigm shift in the quality of cameras. The scope for post production and editing the Phase One XF offers will definitely open new doors in the world of image capture.
