Clowning Around: Part 1

Kelsey wanted to dress up as a scary clown and terrify people. We chose an Industrial location, outdoors (Port Adelaide) - and set a night time shoot. We were both later than we anticipated, which worked well, as the whole place was completely deserted on a Friday night.

I set my camera to ISO6400, set up a single light to assist with focusing and adding some drama, and off the shoot went. At one point, we had a security patrol come to try and move us on - and Kelsey proceeded to do a creepy dance in front of them.

This shoot was a lot of fun. Night time Photoshoots usually are, as you can be in control of the light a lot more.

This first shot is a four second long exposure. Kelsey was the focal point, leading to a nice, long exposures background bokeh. I love the movement in the baloons, which was intentional. The fact she didn't hold still for the entire four seconds adds an element of creepiness to this image that I enjoy.

The rest of these in this post will be the "creepy" ones... Fair warning...
