Crescent Moon Rising at Twilight's Calm (Original Photography)

This tranquil and serene image was taken at sunset.  The soft glow of twilight illuminates the sky with a beautiful amber tone like the dying of a camp fire at days end.  The wispy clouds generate an eerie yet seductive feel.

In the last photo you can see the product of the dying of the day as it gives way to the birth of the crescent moon rising (and perhaps its far reaching reflection can be seen in the still calm waters).

I hope you enjoy the photos.  They were taken overlooking the Blind River in Northern Ontario, Canada.  I am an amateur at photography (normally a writer) just hoping to capture the beauty of the world around me.  For these photos I used my trusty old Canon S2 IS 6.0-72.0 mm.
