Continuing on the Asian Highlands trail at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium past the White-naped Crane exhibit is the Pere David's Deer and Indian Rhinoceros exhibit.
Photographs taken on June 2018.
Phase one of the Asian Highlands exhibit at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha, Nebraska opened at the end of May.
The Pere David's Deer and the Indian Rhino share the same exhibit space.
The Indian Rhinos at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium are part of a breeding program to save the species.
Zoo keepers place food stuffs around the exhibit area.
Despite its bulkiness the Indian Rhino is quite nimble.
The deer take it easy while the Indian Rhino is feeding.
In this 2 minute 20 second video you will see the Pere David's Deer moving out of the way when the Indian Rhino approaches them.
