The ceremony lasts for hours, that's the bad news.
A monk speaks, then there is a ritual act, then all parents speak, then a monk, then a ritual act, then the bridegroom and so on and again and...
The good news is no one has to watch or listen. It's like a show. You can talk, eat and drink.
When it's time you give in your presents and get a present back, like a big party.
When the ceremony is over, the photo session begins. Everyone is photographed with everyone and everyone with the bride and groom. That also takes hours.
But anyway, I enjoyed it. I still have contact with some of the people from back then.

Die Zeremonie dauert Stunden, das ist die schlechte Nachricht.
Es spricht ein Mönch, dann gibt es eine Rituelle Handlung, dann sprechen alle Eltern, dann ein Mönch , dann eine rituelle Handlung, dann der Bräutigam und so weiter und so fort...
Die gute Nachricht ist, niemand muss zusehen oder zuhören. Es ist einer Show ähnlich. Man kann sich dabei unterhalten, essen und trinken.
Wenn es Zeit ist, gibt man seine Geschenke ab und erhält ein Geschenk zurück, like eine große Party....
Wenn die Zeremonie zu Ende ist, dann beginnt die Fotosession. Jeder wird mit jedem fotografiert und alle mit dem Brautpaar. Auch das dauert Stunden.
Aber es hat mir jedenfalls Spaß gemacht. Zu manchen Leuten von damals habe ich heute noch Kontakt.
