No sé si alguno de ustedes aún tendrán un artefacto de estos o si lo habrá utilizado en algún momento. Yo tengo estos tres, dos de los cuales están en buenas condiciones. A mí no se me olvida el sonido bien particular que hacía el disco cuando uno marcaba. Era usual que les pusieran candado, para restringir su uso (tal como se ve en la foto), pero eso no importaba, recuerdo que de adolescente aprendí a marcar por arriba, es decir, se levantaba la bocina y se pulsaba una de las dos pestañas sobresalientes. Por ejemplo, si el número a discar empezaba por 5, le dabas cinco pulsaciones, esperabas un segundo y luego marcabas el siguiente, por ejemplo, si fuese el número 3, le dabas tres pulsaciones, y así sucesivamente. El asunto se complicaba cuando tenías que marcar el 0, porque entonces tenías que dar 10 pulsaciones seguidas… y a veces no resultaba.

I don't know if any of you still have an artifact of these or if you have used it at some point. I have these three, two of which are in good condition. I do not forget the very particular sound that the album made when you marked. It was usual that they put a padlock on them, to restrict their use (as seen in the photo), but that did not matter, I remember that as a teenager I learned to mark from above, that is, the horn was raised and one of the two was pressed outstanding lashes. For example, if the number to be dialed started with 5, you pressed it five times, you waited one second and then you dialed the next, for example, if it were the number 3, you pressed it three times, and so on. Estos teléfonos se usaron durante gran parte del siglo XX, (al menos en mi país, Venezuela), y luego fueron sustituidos por los teléfonos digitales; pero considero que estos ejemplares son dignos de ser conservados para que las nuevas generaciones los conozcan.

These telephones were used for much of the 20th century, (at least in my country, Venezuela), and then they were replaced by digital telephones; but I consider that these specimens are worthy of being conserved so that the new generations know them.
