An abstract 35mm B&W film shoot, developed, and printed by me. I like digital photography a lot but film just has a look that sets into a different art form.
I created these by placing objects into a glass filled halfway with water and then lighting the whole thing up from underneath in the dark.
It takes a different kind of work to get abstract other worldly images without Photoshop.
These are part of a larger series of about 12, I present 4 here.
I did have a hard time photographing the paper prints in order to show them here. Some of the richness and details are missing, I apologize. They still present an interesting effect and I am still enjoying sharing them. The process of film is so different from digital.
These we shot with a very old Canon EOS film camera, one of the first of the EOS line. The lens is an old Sigma 100mm macro lens, but none of this really matters anymore.
