Yes, I was in a car accident and it was completely my fault. What I wish write about is more how I overcame the complication. Luckily my car was still driveable with only bumper damage and a broken exhaust hanger. After dealing with the police and calling around to find out there was no mechanic shops open I was considering calling a tow truck rather than dragging my exhaust home.
Rolling underneath the car on the side of the road with police blocking traffic I realized I would be able to finish my shift if I could only get my exhaust off the ground. My solution was to sacrifice a charging cable worth $7 to then be able to go on and earn another $80 for the night. My bumper was easy enough to push in and tuck under the fender.
Simply put, I was caught up in the hustle of trying to achieve my goal of home ownership resulting in a step backwards financially. Though I may be embarrassed it has been a reminder to always remain calm and collected behind the wheel 😉
