CLOUDY MORNING ALONG THE ROAD THAT LEADS TO PREMANTURA

After buying some stuff in one of the two supermarkets in my hometown, I decided to drive a bit around in search of fresh photographs and something to blog about.

(Enlargeable)

This photograph was taken by the sea, in between the villages Pomer and Premantura.

The weather was (and still is) kinda boring ...

... but with the right dose of inspiration, there is always something interesting to photograph, even in this bland, grayish light. Simple, geometric details always look good ...

... and this thing made of driftwood and ropes looked like some ancient totem pole. From a certain angle, at least.

Smaller details also looked pretty cool.

Here you can see some thick ropes that were lying not far from there.

While walking across the pebbles on the beach ...

... I encountered a group of tall & large parasols. You can see one of them in this photograph.

Some friends were also there with me. You can see one of them here.

Before driving away, I photographed some garbage.

An empty spray container and an empty beer bottle.

The next stop was a couple of kilometers further ...

... on the hill ...

... with the nice view of the bay that we left some minutes before.

(Enlargeable)

There I photographed these old bunkers.

They were built in the first years of the 20th century ...

(Enlargeable)

... and were part of the long line of fortification along the coastline north and south of the city of Pula. Some big cannons were mounted nearby in those times.

The vegetation here is mostly evergreen.

I saw only one small, deciduous tree surrounded by pines.

An oak.

It was a nice contrast.

This desiccated earthstar mushroom was found a bit further, under the pines.

Here you can see the houses of the village called Pomer, situated in between my hometown and Premantura, and in the following shot ...

... you can see the distant suburban buildings on the outskirts of Pula, the nearest city.

AND THAT'S IT. THAT'S ALL FOR TODAY. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK - THE END.
