Norwegian landscapes: Aurora Show

Hi Friends!

I spent the Saturday night in my car, sleeping on a passenger seat - or maybe trying to sleep.
Drove over 130 km to reach the point by the open sea shore and escape light pollution from big cities.

The forecast for Aurora was great but the one for the weather shitty as hell - but, I risked my time and travel money to take this chance.

Miracles can happen - not very often but they really can!

Around 7:30pm the moon light begun to pass through the clouds - during next 10 minutes, they disappear almost completely - and I saw the first green circle on the northern horizon.

I knew I will have limited time to catch the Aurora lights before another wave of clouds come.
Luckily for my - this weather window lasts almost 3 hours and I was able to look for different locations, spots and compositions.

The Aurora was quite static in the beginning, around 9pm the real show start.

Incredible show of lights, shapes, dynamic, blinking and dancing. Real magic happen!

Around 11pm the clouds came from the south covering most of the sky, making the Aurora visible only as a patches of green color.
I knew this will be the end of the hunt.
Tired but very satisfied I went to the car. I found a perfect parking spot on a high cliff, with the open view towards the sea.
I was eating, drinking beer, watching the sky and the night view until 2 am... nothing more happen as the clouds covered the whole sky.

It was magical, relaxing and memorable night!
Hope for more before the end of the winter...
