Melbourne - A city of Lights part 1

Armed with a Fujifilm X-T3 Camera with a 23mm F2 Fujinon prime lens attached I wandered the streets on a warm summer's evening to see if the big city lights are still a thing.

We have been very lucky in Australia, COVID never really got any steam up. Maybe slightly less lucky in Melbourne, we were in lockdown for about 10-12 weeks last year but that means there is essentially no COVID in the community at all which means everything is open and things are pretty much normal (assuming you aren't an international student, an expat wanting to get home or someone who works in tourism.)

So yeah the bars are still there, still bathed in lurid red, the bottles lined up and calling to you

There are still signs at the end of the tunnel, it still hints are what is there? Is it busy though, is anyone coming.

Of course like all things in society the pain is not felt evenly. The elite are unaffected, the so hot right now are still busy, maybe not lining up down the street busy but certainly enough to still be turning over the tables regularly.

And still the people with the money are staring into the shop windows planning their next purchase, or isn't it the dreamers who never had the money and never will
