Inside the Diesel Tank - Light Painting - 3 images

Bringing Light into the Underground World.

A good friend and epic Light Painter (Sven Gerard) showed me the entrance of this Fuel Tank. It is pretty much just a small door on the side of a hill an hour south of Berlin. Then you take stairs down into the darkness. The first time I wasn't in the mood to go in. Big mistake or lucky me going there again. If you follow my blog you have seen a few shots of this place already. Here I share the last two shots from my last encounter.
In preparation for the Camera Rotations I was planning (as shown in my previous posts about the same tank) I tested as always the standard Lighting.

Here is the colored version with the rotation.

The space is big enough to run around and yet so small that you can use almost any flashlight to get a good lighting result. Also placing a model works very nice. With a little bit of perspective, you can make a person appear small or really big inside the tank without a problem. Love this location.

This is the very first shot of the night to show you what the lighting test was like. You can clearly see me running around if you have a careful look.

I really hope you liked what you saw and this was informative and maybe also inspirational. If you have more questions please do not hesitate. I am happy to share my knowledge.
