You get there only by boat and only a limited number of tourists can actually go there. The eco touristic approach serves as a modern way of managing the parks.

The trip by itself is already worth the trip. Many though want to make their way to the caves. As we did many of the touristic visitors arrive by sea taking a boat from Sabana de la Mar.

On the way to the caves, you'll pass a number of different habitats and consequently has a great diversity so you get to see many animals that live free in the park. Many birds and lots of crabs in the mangroves.

Speaking just for us: the caves were the final of our journey. That's where we wanted to go.
Once you land there with the boat, the caves are super easy to explore and don't represent a challenge to go around.

On the way to the many caverns, you'll pass many tiny islands that are home to all the birds.

To us going there was an absolute surprise. When you are in a hotel on nice beaches you don't really imagine finding such a wonderful park.

If you end up in one of the many hotels along the coast you may want to look into a possible trip to this wonderful diversion from your "sex on the beach" cocktail.

Enjoy your exploration
