Continuing Denver story let me suggest you one more small tour. As I stated in my previous post in Denver there is free of charge bus which route passes along 16th Street.
Many interesting buildings are located on 16th Street. One of them is Kittredge Building opened in 1891.
If you will go to the north-west till the nearest corner (till the crossroad with Welton Street), will turn to the left and will walk straight ahead two blocks till the crossing with 14th street you will be able to see the Colorado Convention Center. And if the walking distance between Kittredge Building and Colorado Convention Center is around two blocks, the historical distance between them is about one century.
I suppose that the Colorado Convention Center is the largest building of the City. Standing at the main entrance it is not possible to see the end of the Center.
Constructive decisions are very original. The heavy, metal constructions combined with the glass create the feeling of the lightness and safety.
The big bright blue bear looks through the window. It is known that the author of the sculpture Lawrence Argent titled this composition "I See What You Mean" and now the Bear has become the symbol of Denver.
And special bonus - standing on the second floor you can enjoy panoramic views of the city out and mountains.
