PATRON SAINT OF THE DAY: For Motorcyclists

image

The 24th of November is the feast day of Saint Columbanus. Columbanus was an Irish monk, priest and missionary known for working in Scotland, France and Italy in the early 500’s.

Columbanus may be considered the patron of motorcyclists due to his ability to tame bears and wolves during his lifetime - a fitting metaphor for riding a motorcycle.

Saint Columbanus, ora pro nobis!
