Oh, look! It’s Panasonic in a tux! And a “sleek design” — read “without a hand-grip”…

This time we are not going to start with the usual Leica prefix: “savagely overpriced”. This time, putting the red dot on a Panasonic LX100 II will cost you only $200 more. Next time, getting rid of the red dot will cost you $500 more. Hey, its Leica!

If you set to buy this beautifuly designed camera with 17 Mpix multi-aspect mft sensor, with the Lumix inscription it will cost you $995. The combination of the tux and the red dot retails for $1,195.

Let’s see what Leica has to say about their new achievement:

For the act of image creation, what goes unseen can often be just as important as what strikes the eye. With a stylish, yet inconspicuous, lightweight and compact build, the Leica D-Lux 7 delivers a unique combination of first-class optics and high-end technology.

“Stylish, yet inconspicuous…” 😂😂😂 Always loved that Leica humour. It’s so characteristic for a German producers… Ooops, Chinese producers:

Does this Chinese beauty have any faults? Almost none. Crybabies would say: “No tilting screen!” The experienced Leica users would respond: “Just tilt with your hands, man!” The other minor fault would be that optically beautiful lens, extending from the camera and getting inside it, has a nasty habit of bringing dust inside and onto the sensor. Very hard to remove. Yes, it can go into a pocket, but you have to keep your pockets clean.
