Food stocks for about one million Palestinians in Gaza are expected to run out in June tomorrow. The reason, the allocation of international funds for the UN agency UNRWA has now been disconnected. There is no optimal solution anticipated by UNRWA to cover this year's funding requirement of 200 million US dollars.

"So if you suddenly have no certainty about the amount of UN food aid for a million people ... you can imagine what effect it will have," said Pierre Kraehenbuehl, head of UNRWA reported by Republika.
