Trying out the Liquitex Heavy Body acrylic paints - Swatch video

DSC_0510.jpg

After ordering acrylic paints and mediums, I tried the Liquitex Heavy body acrylics first by making swatches on paper. This was my first time using heavy body acrylics too. Heavy bodies are different from the "normal" acrylics since the latter is soft and kinda watery most of the time. The Heavy bodies are very creamy, they could retain brush strokes and is closer to oil paint.

So I grabbed a paper and just tried them one by one (without mixing them). Its purpose is to also see how it behaves, how it looks like when it dries, how pigmented it is.

This paint is SO vibrant and pigmented lol and it is as expected from Liquitex. I love using it because of its thickness and very easy to control. How it looks when it is first applied is exactly the same as how it dries. No wonder why they say it's one of the best acrylic brands. I hope you enjoyed the video!
