I find it better to live in extremes.
To quit smoking, I didn't just stop smoking. I started exercising, started eating better and basically overhauled my lifestyle. I found that the extreme makeover actually made the one challenge much easier to overcome.
So what does that have to do with today's open mic post?
Well, I've recently posted a couple tunes on the openmic contest.
This week as I went to post another song I realized a bigger issue at hand.
I HAVE A MAJOR BLOCK POSTING CONTENT ON SOCIAL PLATFORMS.
It has been a real challenge for me to share in this way on any online platform.
I want to stretch my comfort zone on Steemit and also break through this road block.
Steemit is a new and exciting platform for me that is already stealing my interest from other platforms.
Oh yea, Back to open mics...
Writing new songs is an uncomfortable process for me. Unveiling a new song for the first time is more revealing than getting naked in front of a new partner.
An extreme leap for me would be the combination of all of it. The writing process, the creation of the song and the performance of the song.
Next week I plan on sharing my process of birthing a song.
From initial thought to an open mic recording for the week.
I'll get over my content creation hangups, hopefully.
We'll get a great song out of it, possibly.
Or a realllly really bad one, potentially
Either way I'm interested to see what happens this coming week.
