OCD Daily: Issue #325

OCD DAILY - Issue #325

Welcome to the 325th issue of @OCD Daily!

Issue #325 highlights content from ten (10) Steem Content Creators! The OCD team continues its search throughout Steem to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.

Today our curators found ten (10) new pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are created by newer Steem users, that may not have the audience with which to share their quality content. @OCD strives to help provide that audience and intends to showcase Steem users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.

The @OCD nomination process

A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users). Within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @OCD team, curator votes are tallied, and the pieces with the most votes are included in the compilation.

We encourage you to visit these blogs and show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.

If you enjoyed their work, give them a Follow or maybe even say Hello!

All of the content chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is universally appreciated and valued by our curators making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.

Our top nomination of the day is from @olgy-art

@olgy-art shows us a beautiful candlestick she created using her pottery skills. In this blog, she shares progress pictures along with the process that went into making this creative decorative artwork.

My new work- a candlestick for my home 🤗. Step by step photos.

Our next nomination of the day is from @dswigle

When I think of Market Friday I always think Air Show. OK. Maybe not always. @dswigle gives us just stupid good coverage of an air show under the guise of the Market Friday challenge. It's her challenge, she can do what she wants.

Our next nomination of the day is from @extractum-lunae

Extractum-lunae is a new artist on steem, and on the contrary to the title her art is everything but boring, with lots of details - she came a long way. As she saysBeauty is in every stroke, every shadow. - Great effort - worthy of listing into textbooks.

Academic drawing - it's boring? My scetchbook artworks

Our next nomination of the day is from @galca

Steemian @galca shows us how a walk in your own city at the right time of the day can be absolutely rewarding! Warm sun shines on colourful buildings between lush green vegetation, and from the photos I guess it had just rained. Personally this is my favourite time to take photos and I enjoyed these photos with spring flowers added to the mix a lot. I can almost smell the grass with fresh rain on it...

Our next nomination of the day is from @harlotscurse

@harlotscurse participated in the annual Limerick City Marathon in Ireland on Sunday 5th of May. This was also his first marathon since starting on a Keto diet 5 months ago. Keto really isn’t for everyone so he described what preparations was done before the race. It was interesting to see what he had the night before and the following morning due to this new diet. It was was a great day and after being assigned runner number 552 (check out the photo which captured him in the post), he finished the race in under 3 hours! The best part - as he was over 55 year sold, he won an extra prize of $150 Euro!

Our next nomination of the day is from @arthurgain

Artist @arthurgain releases his newest painting with perfect timing. This coming weekend marks the final episode of the popular series Game of Thrones, and he spends three hours creating this amazing oil painting of Jon Snow, or should I say (SPOILER ALERT) Aegon Targaryen? While Jon Snow may know nothing, @arthurgain certainly knows how to create amazing pieces of art. He also pays attention to the details, as seen by the music choice to accompany this painting session.

Our next nomination of the day is from @alchemystones

@alchemystones talks about being an artist in the age of technology, where the bulk of financial feasibility lies with the invisible parts of networking and selling their marketing channels. She finds her experience at Steem valuable because the platform opens up a lot of interesting and new ideas for her. This is a well written and honest article from an artist who has been putting at least 8 years into establishing art as an income source in her life!

Our next nomination of the day is from @dlstudios

Despite titled old man yells at clouds, @dlstudios shares justifiable argument about rezzed up versions of PS2 games for PS4. The author gave an example on Darkcloud 2 which he thought that it was not a remake but just released with a better resolution.

Our final nomination of the day is from @binkyprod

Playing music is an amazing form of meditation. How? In her post @binkyprod reveals why playing a piano is meditation for her. Similarly to focusing on breathing in meditation, she is focusing on the keys and notes here and now to play music and it does wonders. She is able to to gain clarity, relax, and recharge. Do you play music? Have you felt the same effects?
