And thanks to the hard work of @victoriabsb, along with the amazing assistance and support of @eddiespino, @theycallmedan, @blocktrades, and @arcange from @hivebuzz, there's a new, one-time special prize this month - read on to find out more! And the @hivebuzz countdown timer is now ticking down the days to the December 1st Power Up Day. Be sure to check it out on the HiveBuzz site (under the "Challenges" tab) so you don't miss your chance to earn a badge while you power up and build your Hive account! As I mentioned in [July's announcement post](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@traciyork/announcement-post-updated-hive-power-up-day-july-1st-2021), I've changed things up a bit with these Power Up Day posts. I'm now excluding all my usual Power Up Day info (other than the basics and the prizes) and at some point soon it will be posted as one FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) reference that I will link to from here on out. Did I mention these are the Announcements? :)

The payout from this post (aka the beneficiaries) is split equally between the three winners from November's HivePUD, so @circlebubble, @ninjamike, and @hjrrodriguez will each get 33%.

What is HivePUD?

Hive Power Up Day happens on the first of every month. Those who are able to, take this time to power up some Hive, and/or cancel their power downs and pause trading/selling for the 24 hour span of the day.

How to qualify for HivePUD prizes

Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70.
Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000.
You must power up at least 10 Hive on December 1st.
You must write a post about your power up on December 1st (your local time) with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Spanish).

To be included in the winners list, you must meet all four requirements above. The order of the list (first place, second place, and so on) will be determined by the biggest PERCENTAGE of Hive powered up, not necessarily the most Hive powered up.

How to get HiveBuzz badges

For details, check their post from last month, Feedback from the November 1st Hive Power Up Day as well as their Power Up Day Helper Badge post but essentially -

Power up a minimum of 10 HIVE during the UTC time for the first of the month. Convert your local time to UTC or check the countdown timer on the Hive Buzz site (under the "Challenges" tab) to confirm it's during the first UTC time before you power up.

Before I get to our usual monthly list of prizes, I figure I should finally talk what this wicked cool ORCA Month prize is all about! 😂 And what better way than to let the person who came up with the idea explain it? So here are some tidbits of the description from @victoriabsb's latest #HPUD For December [announcement post](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@victoriabsb/hive-power-up-day-especial--orca-month-diciembre-reglas-and-premios) -

We are ending the year with a BAM! The Hive Power Up Initiative wanted to celebrate the end of the year, the ATH of Hive Price and just how awesome is our community with a new special prize! We want to award the community members who have been constantly growing their HP being part of our initiative from the beginning help them get to the next level that may seem like a little far away now, our amazing sponsors (@Blocktrades and @Theycallmedan) will be awarding each a delegation of 50,000 HP to 2 lucky winners [one from #HPUD, one from #HivePUD] for a whole month! So, they will become Orcas for a Month!

And to make it as fair and impartial as possible, @arcange has awesomely agreed to use the same system @hivebuzz uses to decide their delegation prizes. When he has determined the two winners, @theycallmedan will delegate 50K for a month to the #HPUD winner and @blocktrades will delegate 50K for a month to the #HivePUD winner.
