Is CryptoArt evil? How environmentally friendly are NFTs?
Depends on which blockchain they are minted on and most importantly, how the energy is generated (Bitcoin uses mostly renewable energy).
While Ethereum is working on the transition from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake, NFTs can already be generated on the Hive Blockchain (@nftshowroom) in an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly way.
