By now I’m sure you’ve heard all about NFT’s. As a crypto dude, I absolutely love the idea of NFT’s. I think it can be a game changer in the world of gaming. Unique weapons, costumes or skins, vehicles, or artifacts with special features and/or abilities. Items that can be bought, sold, traded, or collected. I see big things if that industry embraces it properly.
As for now...we will have to deal with NFT’s as “legit collectibles”. As a collector of physical tangible things my entire life, it’s still a bit hard for me to grasp this new venture...but I do see a place for it. I’m taking a wait and see approach mainly as I just don’t personally have interest in starting a new collection of anything as I already have a world full of nonsense in my life. But I do think there is a world where some of these become legit collectibles and highly sought after.
That’s why I decided to throw a little support behind VeVe and pick up one of their Batman B&W pieces. VeVe’s take on the NFT world is different as it’s incorporating AR into the piece. So far it’s fairly lame in that you can basically take pics of the virtual item, but there are plans to incorporate interactive features with a lot of their upcoming releases. With lines like Ghostbusters, DC, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, and more...there should be some interesting things to keep an eye out for.
For now, I’ve invested a little of my Bitcoin profits into some of the tokens that work with Blockchains with hopeful NFT projects. Wax (Topps & GPK), Flow (NBA Top Shots), and Omi (VeVe) are ones I’m currently throwing some hopes behind.
But for now, I’ll have to play around with my one Batman NFT which I posed here with a few of the real Batman B&W statues from my shop. Can you tell with ease which is the NFT?!?
What are your thoughts on the whole NFT scene? I’d like to do a more in depth piece in the near future but for now, I just wanted to hear some thoughts...so have at it!
