Beirut was rocked by a massive explosion. The blast affected buildings several miles away.
Currently thousands are injured and the figure is increasing by the hour.
Many are dead but the true toll is not yet known as the devastation is so severe.
The current story is that the blast happened at a warehouse that was storing 2700 tons of ammonium nitrate.
Although Trump called the event an 'attack'
Apparantly the blast has destroyed most of Lebanon's reserve food grain.
