Redacted Tonight VIP — Revolution Around The Corner!

A new Human Inequality Study suggests a revolution is scientifically around the corner for the U.S. — and for the World! No, it's not the Report from the Tinfoil Conspiracy Theorists Congres, it is actually the largest study of its kind, done by a team of scientists from Washington State University and 13 other institutions. They examined the factors leading to economic inequality throughout all of human history and noticed some worrying trends…

In the first half, Lee Camp speaks with Mickey Huff, Director of Project Censored, about the CIA’s covert relationship with journalism, the biggest prison system on the planet, other censored issues, and what we can do about them. Project Censored is a student-run organization promoting media literacy by publishing a comprehensive list of the stories most censored by our corporate press every year.

But the second part is even more interesting!

Have you heard about the GINI index? It is a well-established score of inequality, which gives perfect, egalitarian societies a score of 0 and high-inequality societies a 1. Overall, the highest-ever historical Gini the researchers found was that of the ancient Old World (think Patrician Rome), which got a score of .59.

The study found a common thread tying together the most disruptive revolutions of human history, because historically, there’s only so much inequality a society can sustain before it reaches a tipping point. Among the many known effects of inequality on a society are social unrest, a decrease in health, increased violence, and decreased solidarity.

Researchers coupled that with the already known reports, like this one from the leading German insurance company “Allianz Group” — Allianz Global Wealth Report 2016. The result of the study does not bode well for the state of the world today… While the degrees of inequality experienced by historical societies are quite high, the researchers note, they’re nowhere near as high as the Gini scores we’re seeing now.

In short: Huge inequality eventually equals — REVOLUTION!

If you do not wish to search for the GINI coefficient of wealth distribution by nation in the Allianz Global Wealth Report, here is the page — just look at that coefficients:
