US Congressman: "Blacks hate whites because of their success and they don't"

"[African-Americans] hate white people because white people have success and they don't", said Thursday Robert Pittenger, Republican representative from North Carolina in the United States Congress.

Pittenger, whose district includes parts of the city of Charlotte, justified in this way the origin of the manifestations which, since three days ago, are protesting against the excessive force used by police with the African-American citizens of that territory of USA.

When the interview appeared on the network, Robert Pittenger statements have been strongly criticized in the social networks.

Hours after his speech in the British channel BBC, Pittenger apologized and wrote several tweets to explain that "anguish" by what was happening in Charlotte caused to respond "in a way that I am sorry".

This Republican politician explained that it was noted the lack of economic mobility of African Americans "because of the failed policies" and expressed hope that "we can bring peace and calm" to that American city.
