Myanmar authorities open new corruption cases against Suu Kyi

The cases are the latest in a series brought against the 75-year-old elected leader Suu Kyi, who was overthrown by the military in a February 1 coup that plunged the Southeast Asian country into chaos.

The state newspaper quoted the Anti-Corruption Commission as saying that there are allegations related to the misuse of land for the foundation of the charitable Dau Khin, as well as earlier allegations of accepting money and gold.
