Trump pardons sailor incarcerated for mishandling classified evidence

So Kristian Saucier was a navy sailor and took images of a classified area of a submarine and later was incarcerated for his conduct. On Friday Sarah Sanders discussed the pardon. Saucier was released from jail in the previous year but continued to be incarcerated under house arrest. Saucier faced up to 10 years in jail for his offenses.

Saucier was 22 years old at the time of his conduct and served a year of his sentence. Saucier could not believe the pardon until seeing a picture from an email and then possibly speaking with the president later in the day Friday. Saucier plans to move forward with his life.

Differentiating Saucier from Secretary Clinton is interesting. Perhaps military as opposed to civilians have different levels of duties? Perhaps Saucier had the intent element Comey seemed unable to find with Clinton--even though against the advice of security hawks, she continued to use what was presumably her black berry despite knowing it was unsecure as discussed in the Judicial Watch article below. But hopefully her disregarding security experts consciously would not be the intent to mishandle classified information.

It will be interesting what happens and what we think 5-10 years from now. Was Saucier treated differently than the average plebian would be? Should things be classified--or is such nonsense completely incoherent with the pretense of democratic society? Should classified programs be spying on us all worldwide like cattle through our phones, tvs and likely military satellites? What do you think? What do you believe? What are your hopes and dreams?
