Chainsaw Bayonets and Anarchist Activism

Recently, USA Today posted a tweet including a video purporting to show possible modifications to the AR-15 rifle family. One of the scary modifications presented was a "chainsaw bayonet," an item that has doubtless been created as a joke attachment by people from time to time, but serves zero practical purpose.

Someone at USA Today, either out of ignorance or an urge to troll his own company included this feature in this modern-day example of yellow journalism run amok. Needless to say, the internet has had a field day with this.

The mainstream media is not your friend. It does not inform you. It is not a neutral, independent, unbiased source. If you trust it no more than you trust unknown websites with clickbait headlines and no sourcing, you'll be better off.

If you want to take advantage of the news media's desire to be first to press with the latest sensationalist claptrap, read Ben's book here (pdf) or listen here (MP3). Chainsaw bayonets won't help us overthrow the State, but making their media mouthpieces a laughingstock will.
