Flipboard launched in July 2010 as the world's first social magazine, where content from social networks, publishers, online sources and photo sharing sites could all be accessed in one place.
Flipboard was what brought me (and many others) to Steemit back in July so two months ago i wanted to continue spreading the word by creating a magazine with the top trending articles on Steemit. To my surprise, not many Steemians are using Flipboard even though it has about 40 million monthly users world-wide.
The purpose of creating the Flipboard TOP 10 Steemit Trending Magazine was twofold:
Great Steemit topics get seen and reflipped by other Flipboard users (equivalent of resteem) so the word spreads out about Steemit and the high quality and creative articles that Steemians create, promoting Steemit in the end and it worked out great! Here are some stats from the last 30 days:
Two months ago the first post payout was 12h and the most appreciated posts were removed from the trending page rather quickly since the payout was quicker. Sometimes people in Europe didn't get the chance to see what was trending from the US yesterday. The magazine sorted that out as it would be a library of all the top articles that got into the TOP 10 Trending page at any point.
Drumroll...
The magazine's 536 articles (shared from Steemit) reached a total of 3,079 users who flipped the pages of the magazine over 4,378 times.
