Full disclosure, I'm an early investor in NeuCoin - I thought it was an interesting product, and I like that I can mint it with a solar-powered Mac mini instead of a coal-fired ASIC farm. Watching a crypto-currency account accrue interest real-time is a lot more exciting than watching the paint dry at 0.1% APY at a bank. Unfortunately the distribution model was exposed to creation of multiple fraudulent accounts that can earn and immediately sell the coin, which has created tremendous selling pressure over the last year.
Anyway, the NeuCoin Growth Foundation released a statement today that the new SongQuest game has been released for Facebook and that the foundation is pursuing strategic options to maximize future value of the tokens. Traders have responded to the news with a bit of a pump. This may end up being the last gasp of a dying coin - it's not the first time something like this has happened to a crypto-currency, and it most certainly won't be the last. At the very least, it's good to see there's still a community interested in the coin. We'll see what happens.
