Hot and fresh out the kitchen, I woke up with the remix to Ignition in my head today?

The question mark is in the title on purpose. How the hell does this song still infiltrate my brain, all these years later? When it came out, I worked at a place digitizing paper medical records, and my co-workers listened to V100, a station that played contemporary hip hop and r&b. I heard a lot of this song at the time, as well as the original song Ignition, which coincidentally sounds absolutely nothing at all like the remix to me.

So that always comes to mind when I think of this song, but that's not all that comes to mind. The parody of this song from Chappelle's Show also comes to mind, even all of these years later.

I'm not really proud of the fact that I woke up with this song on repeat in my head today, but the point of documenting these songs isn't to impress people or seem like I like cool music. It's to illustrate how random my brain can be sometimes. I really do wish I kept up with it better because there really is a song almost every day, but sometimes I'm too busy with the rest of my day to focus on that.

Putting feelings about R. Kelly as a person aside, this definitely is one catchy-ass song, though.

And, of course, I have to include this because it's funny as fuck.
