NeedleworkMonday: Picking Up Where We Left Off

At the last quarter of 2019, I started not one, not two but three major projects. The first one, I started in October: The Big Bang Theory blanket. If you watched the series, you'll know it's Amy's blanket. Right now, I'm far away from halfway done with that project. But I've organized all of mt leftover yarns so it would be easier to continue later on.

Next is my ambitious ombre shawl which I started in November. That one, I'm almost finished. Just trying to figure out how I want my shawl edges to look like.

And last December, I received an invitation to a friend's wedding this coming February. I immediately looked for patterns for a dress for my daughter. And I found this.

I have crocheted a dress for my daughter before but that was a lot simpler than this one. I must say this pattern really is testing my patience. I have stitched and frogged this dress far too mny times than any of my other projects. I just want it to be perfect.

The first time I had to start over from the top because the crochet hook I used was the wrong size. And to mke things worse, I decided to make my daughter try it on after I have stitched aroung 14 or 15 rounds.

Had to redo this one because it was roo short for her torso.

I don't even want to recount how many times exactly I have frogged this dress, but let's just say I thought of just buying her a dress instead.

But then when I looked at it again (after hiding it in my crochet stashfor weeks), I felt bad for it. It was like it was calling out to me. Begging me to complete it.

So here I am now, almost halfway there. And it's a good thing that I picked it up now because the store where I bought the yarn is holding a sale! I'll be getting the yarns at half price! Score! I'm not just hoarding this time. I'm buying yarns I actually need for a project. :)
