Good morning everyone,
This beautiful morning I want to share with us my latest design. Its a black mdi-maxi size bag. I call it midi-maxi because its bigger than midi size and not up to maxi size. It's in between the two. I call this design "Topa" and I got the name from the series "The Orville". I kinda fall inlove with the name and so I decided to name the bag Topa. The bag has an inner pocket inside and a short and longer detachable rope handle.
MATERIALS USED
- Oketex fibre
- Gum
- Maco 2
- Suade lining
- Zip
- Zip head
- Bottom pin
- D rings
- Adjuster
- Anchor
- Chip-board
PROCESS
- Since I have the pattern on ground already, I just mark and cut it out on the Fibre. I also do the same for the chipboard which I'll be using for the sides. I cut imtheir corresponding leather and I gummed them together. Next I cut the maco for the handle and I used 1.3inches by 17.5inches. Then I gummed itnwith leather and I sew it at the edges. After that, I sew it with the bag 1.5inches from the side and 1.5inches from the to too.
- Next I sew the pocket to the bag lining 1inch below and 7inches wide. For the inner pocket I used 9knches by 10.5inches. Then I sew the zip leather with the zip and with the lining.
- I fixed the bottom pins, D rings to the side and I gummed the lining to the bag after which I trimmed the sides excess out. Finally, I sewnthe top of the bags and sides and I sew the sides to the main body of the bag.
