Good morning, everyone!
Yesterday it was raining but today it's hot and shiny. Obviously, my plans of staying inside got canceled by the weather. I'll take the chance to go outside and enjoy the sun.
Before I go out, I'll leave you with something odd and beautiful at the same time...
In the Island of Pico, in Azores, a lot of the rock formations were created after volcano eruptions. This kind of rock is called Volcanic Rock because it was formed from hot lava. After lava cools off, the resulting formations are sometimes fascinating.
What you see here is a well known tourist attraction and it's a rock that the locals named "O Cachorro" which means "The Dog". I believe no explanation is necessary. Right?
All these rocks are incredible and cool, specially when you think that they were molten lava, inside a volcano, a few centuries ago... but this dog, with such a perfectly shaped muzzle, eyes and ears is really fascinating!!! It almost looks like a man made sculpture. 🙃
But no, it's just Mother Nature showing off her skills.
I hope you enjoyed this... and think about visiting the Islands of Azores someday. You won't regret it.
