This awesome tradition is found in the village of Piplantri (how curious is that? “Pi PLANT TREE”). It’s not an ancient tradition and it goes beyond planting trees. Girls are well taken care of since early age, money is raised for their future, they are educated and are not forced into marriage. Some call it an eco-feminism movement. For me it’s just a bunch of good ideas that should be adopted in a lot more places.
