Louisiana works on a multi-million dollar plan to reclaim some of the wetlands Hurricane Ida destroyed

The agency hopes to cobble together $70 million- $90 million from a variety of sources to build a higher ridge along the old shoreline of Little Lake, and an apron of marsh, to restore the calmer conditions that existed pre-Ida.

Good video about the rapid loss in wetlands in South Louisiana and what might be done about it to help bring some of it back. I just wonder what is going to happen when they run out of money, they throw around these multi million dollar projects, but at some point it's going to be seen as not worth it. The fresh water diversion that never stop bringing in sediment is the way to go, I think anyway.
